Senior Financial Analyst - Capital Markets Finance; CML

Financial Analysts perform financial data analysis in preparing Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements and frequently build reports for higher level associates; provide management and business clients with project statuses; perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests. This role will have a specific focus on our Capital Markets businesses (Financing, Derivatives, Advisory, etc). These businesses are essential to the Commercial Bank, as they are a critical driver of non-interest income.

• Forecasting, monitoring and reporting capital markets revenue, headcount, salaries, and various other metrics.
• Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management.
• Coordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments, check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify, analyze, and communicate output data.
• Calculate the financial impacts of strategic decisions from business partners.
• Develop business presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, articulating outcomes of analysis to leadership teams.
• Ad-hoc requests and special projects; independently manage and prioritize workload.
• Perform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statements and frequently create reports for higher level associates.
• Provide management and business clients with project statuses; perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests.

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in financial analysis.
• At least 1 year of experience with financial modeling.

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• 3+ years’ experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• 2+ years’ experience in financial analysis.
• 2+ years’ experience with financial modeling.
• 1+ year of experience partnering with internal stakeholders.
• 1+ year of experience in SQL.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Financial Analyst

New York, NY: $105,300 - $120,100 for Sr. Financial Analyst

Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Financial Analyst

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
