Position OverviewAre you someone who desires a dynamic work environment that supports a fast-paced business model? We are looking for a self-starter and someone who is highly dedicated to Freddie Mac's Mission to join our Liquidity & Capital team. This role supports operations for multiple trading desks and portfolio managers.
OurImpact
- Provides direct operational support to various trading desks and portfolio managers and works in tandem with the firm’s liquidity goals.
- Accurately and efficiently analyzes trade economics, processes trade settlements, prepares reconciliations and reports, while mitigating risk to the firm.
- Engages in new projects in support of Freddie Mac's 2024 goals.
- Provides daily trade support to portfolio managers, addressing issues as they arise.
- Accurately confirms trade economics with the broker-dealer community while actively monitoring trade settlements at multiple custodial banks.
- Prepares and reconciles daily securities and cash reports, identifying potential settlement discrepancies without adverse impacts to Freddie Mac.
- Participates in system improvement testing internally and externally.
- Communicates efficiently with a high degree of professionalism both written and orally, speaking with various internal and external partners.
- Works closely with the Business Continuity team.
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience working in a team environment, either in school or past employment.
- Meticulous attention to detail is very important.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and technical skills or macro experience preferred.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Desire to work within a cohesive team as well as the ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to adhere to sensitive deadlines throughout the day.
- Work with sensitive information while calmly engaged in a high-pressure environment.
- Comfortable working in collaborative work situations in the physical office environment and via Teams video chat.
- Proficient in Excel and a desire to grow technical macro skills.
- Trustworthy, dependable, transparent, and responsible.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to give 100% effort.
The position has an annualized market-based salary range of $58,000 – $88,000 and is eligible for an annual incentive program. Freddie Mac offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including competitive compensation and market-leading benefit programs.
