Position OverviewFreddie Mac's Enterprise Model Governance Data Science Team is currently seeking a Quantitative Analytics Senior. The EMG data team is responsible for delivering an array of quantitative initiatives, including development, validation, and monitoring across multiple models (credit risk, market risk, counter party risk, etc.) enterprise-wide.
Our ImpactThe team supports model risk management and works cross‑functionally with modeling teams to ensure compliance with risk standards. This includes working directly on model design, model code, model data, and building software and automation tools.
Your Impact- Perform independent validation on model methodologies.
- Design workflows and data pipelines (ETL) and verify data sources including economic, finance, and enterprise data.
- Build prototypes to automate validation procedures.
- Doctorate degree (or Master's degree with equivalent work experience) in quantitative finance, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Coursework or work experience applying predictive modeling techniques from finance, statistics, mathematics, data science, and computer programming to large data sets. Qualifying coursework may include (but is not limited to) statistics, mathematical programming, optimization, machine learning, computational methods, design and analysis of algorithms, Bayesian methods, derivatives, and Monte Carlo methods/modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Deep curiosity to learn with critical thinking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under limited direction independently to identify issues and solve problems.

This position has an annualized market‑based salary range of $118,000 - $178,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors, including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity, and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
