Position: Counter party Risk Management Reporting Professional (Hybrid - 3 Days in Office - VA)

Our Impact
  • Evaluate and mitigate risk posed by new counter parties that want to do business with Freddie Mac.
  • Perform risk assessments on existing counter parties undergoing organizational changes (e.g., mergers, acquisitions).
  • Approve the expansion of loan products that current counter parties can sell to Freddie Mac.
  • Implement third‑party risk management strategies for the Multifamily division.
  • Report on counter party risk to senior leadership and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Design and implement technology improvements for managing counter party risk data.
Your Impact
  • Manage risk reporting processes for both divisional and enterprise reporting.
  • Facilitate management reporting meetings and create meeting materials.
  • Document risk evaluation of new initiatives by working with business partners within the Multifamily division.
  • Manage controls and procedures for the CRC team and support Risk and Control Self‑Assessments (RCSAs).
  • Work with Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Audit to support testing of the CRC team, and support resolution of issues and incidents.
  • Review corporate policies and standards to ensure compliance of the CRC team.
  • Support inherent and residual risk assessments for Multifamily counter parties.
  • Manage ad‑hoc projects for the Office of the Chief Operating Officer of Multifamily.
Qualifications
  • College degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Real Estate, or related field.
  • 4+ years of proven experience in risk management, financial services, or management consulting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex information to leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience confidently creating and presenting compelling meeting materials.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize key tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in project management, including the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate across teams.
  • Experience with the management of risks, controls, and procedures and an understanding of the model of three lines of defense.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data, identify trends, and provide valuable insights.
  • Business proficiency in the Multifamily Commercial Real Estate industry, preferred.
  • Experience with Risk and Control Self‑Assessments (RCSAs), preferred.
