Project Control Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day project accounting and billing functions for government contracts
• Set up new projects in Costpoint, including contract structure, CLINs, PLCs, and funding details
• Monitor contract funding, track burn rates, and support de‑obligations and funding adjustments
• Prepare and submit accurate invoices in accordance with contract requirements
• Perform reconciliations across project, billing, and general ledger data
• Partner with program managers to ensure financial accuracy and contract compliance
• Maintain detailed project financials and support reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Identify and resolve discrepancies related to billing, costs, and funding
• Utilize Excel to analyze financial data, build reports, and support decision making
• Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and company policies

• 5+ years of government contracting experience in a similar role
• Recent Costpoint experience
• Ability to operate independently from day one
• Excel proficiency – VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and basic formulas
• Costpoint T&E experience is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
