FM Internal Control Consultant

What You Will Do

Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client by:

• Executing A-123 / RMIC assessments
• Supporting audit readiness/remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation (e.g., narratives, flow charts, etc.)
• Testing or designing internal controls
• Having knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures, and DoD organizational structures
• Applying federal accounting, financial management, and audit knowledge/expertise when assisting with the development of solutions and providing recommendations to client

Ability to Obtain Secret

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree
• Three (3) or more years of experience supporting audit remediation efforts, including experience with audit readiness, internal controls testing, corrective action planning, and/or accelerated audit strategies.

• An active and maintained "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• Three (3) or more years of experience supporting the Department(s) of the Air Force, Army, and/or Navy
• Advanced Degree
• Currently possess one or more of the following certifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • Program Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
