Financial Analyst
Our client is a major financial enterprise dedicated to supporting housing markets and promoting sustainable home ownership nationwide. The Senior Financial Analyst will analyze, interpret, and visualize P&L, CRT, and capital forecasting data to support business decisions within capital markets processes. This is a Full‑time, Contract position based in McLean, VA, paying $63.00‑$86.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities- Analyze, interpret, and visualize P&L, CRT, and capital forecasting data to support business decisions within capital markets processes.
- Perform in-depth analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual capital and financial outputs, including variance analysis, forecast validation, and P&L impacts from model and data changes.
- Liaise with cross‑functional stakeholders across business and technical teams to gather and document requirements and communicate progress.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, data science, or a related field.
- Advanced skills in Excel and strong ability to perform in-depth data analysis and present results.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis related to mortgage and/or mortgage securities finance processes/data and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of capital markets and related financial concepts, including secondary mortgage and mortgage securities processes and data.
- Experience collecting and documenting requirements related to financial process automation.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present management reports and executive‑level presentations.
