Senior Associate, Capital Markets and Risk (Stress Test Forecasting Team) (Hybrid)
As a Senior Associate on the stress test forecasting team, you will push the boundaries of forecasting as you measure the financial impact from movements in the economic environment. The ideal candidate will provide strong financial leadership across the entire P&L, be an analytical thinker/problem solver, and have the ability to synthesize complex subject matter to tell a story. The role will emphasize problem‑solving, communication, and a strong focus on results in order to successfully navigate various scenario gaming exercises.
Responsibilities- Partner with leadership and business teams to assess the financial implications of macroeconomic scenarios on the Retail portfolio
- Articulate outcomes of analysis and insights to senior management
- Develop presentations to communicate results to senior leadership audiences
- Effectively manage deliverables under tight timelines
- Partner with the tech team to automate and enhance processes
- Lead the financial forecasting of the Income Statement for CCAR and scenario gaming purposes
- Project manage the Retail CCAR process
- Leverage technology (Python, SQL) to automate models and processes
- Develop and manage documentation and presentation of financial results
- Perform financial forecasting and analytics to support variance analysis and model improvements
- Identify and enable continuous improvements across the team to drive efficiencies
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 2 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis
- Experience using Google Sheets & Slides
- Experience in Python and SQL
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Experience in complex financial modeling
- Excellent analytical skills and experience in variance analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900;
Richmond, VA: $101,100 - $115,400. This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
