Escrow Processor

The Escrow Processor is responsible for the front-to-back administrative management of real estate closing files. You will act as a neutral third party, coordinating between buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders to ensure all documents are accurate and funds are disbursed correctly. In the fast-paced McLean market, this role requires high attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of local and commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • File Opening & Maintenance:
Initiate escrow accounts upon receipt of a contract; order title abstracts, surveys, and payoff statements.

  • Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders (Lenders, Realtors, Attorneys) to collect necessary closing information.

  • Document Preparation:
Draft Closing Disclosures (CD) and ALTA Settlement Statements in compliance with lender instructions and Virginia state law.

  • Title Curative:
Review title commitments to identify and resolve liens, judgments, or "clouds" on the title before closing.

  • Compliance:
Ensure all files meet RESPA and TRID requirements, as well as internal company policies.

  • Post-Closing Support:
Verify that all documents are recorded with the Fairfax County Clerk's Office and that all funds (commissions, taxes, payoffs) are disbursed accurately.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience:

1–3 years of experience in title processing, escrow, or mortgage loan servicing.

  • Education:

High School Diploma required; B.A./B.S. in Business or Finance preferred.

  • Software:
Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Qualia, Soft Pro, Ram Quest, or Settleware).

  • Licensing:
Virginia Title Agent License is a significant plus (some firms require this within 90 days of hire).

  • Skills:

    * Deep understanding of Virginia real estate terminology and closing customs.

    • Exceptional organizational skills to handle 20+ active files simultaneously.

    • Strong communication skills for interacting with high-net-worth clients in the No

      VA area.
