DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for an Assisted Living Community. The consultant will be responsible for quarterly onsite visits (4 hours per visit) to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and any nutrition referrals for high‑risk residents.

A Day in the Life of a Registered Dietitian (RD)As a long‑term care consulting Registered Dietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor residents’ nutritional needs and may provide nutrition education, work on the MDS with the team, or formulate assessment plans with input from the dining manager. With a commitment to quality, you provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices, and ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
You train and mentor dining managers and staff, assist with policy development, and monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
- Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentials
- Licensed (if required by State)
Two years of consulting experience is preferred, but many factors are considered. Experience in long‑term care is preferred but not required. You should be able to prioritize multiple tasks, possess solid interpersonal and communication skills, represent DiningRD professionally, and enjoy coaching and mentoring others.
Work ScheduleThe position offers flexibility within a Monday‑Friday schedule.
Experience- Clinical nutrition – 2 years (preferred)
- CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (required)
- State license, if required for a Registered Dietitian (required)
