Tableau Server Application Administrator; System Administrator

Roles And Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee Tableau Server in a high‑availability environment, ensuring stability, availability, and optimal performance.
• Manage user/group setup, permissions, roles, and trusted ticket authentication for secure access.
• Design and implement Tableau data extracts from multiple sources, particularly SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and PRISM.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Tableau dashboards and reports integrated within the SAP ecosystem, ensuring seamless data flow from SAP BW to Tableau.
• Implement Tableau Server advanced features such as GIS mapping and VizQL for rich visualization.
• Tune Tableau workbooks and data sources for performance optimization; implement visualization and performance best practices across the user community.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams to design analytical layers supporting RISE/HANA transitions and BI reporting.
• Develop and maintain custom administrative views and network load tracking dashboards.
• Coordinate with business users to gather requirements, design KPIs, and deliver self‑service BI solutions using Tableau.
• Support Tableau Server upgrade, patching, and version migration efforts in coordination with security and infrastructure teams.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  
  7 years in Tableau Server administration, BI development, and dashboarding.
• Proven expertise in Tableau Desktop, Server, and Viewer administration.
• Hands‑on experience in developing Tableau visualizations integrated with SAP BW and SAP BOBJ data sources.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills, including query optimization and data extract performance tuning.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and BI architecture.
• Experience working with DOI.
• Familiarity with GIS data integration and enterprise‑level dashboarding best practices.
