Job Description
The Tooling & Knowledge Management Lead will be responsible for managing collaboration, documentation, and knowledge management platforms across the VESEE program. This role ensures that tooling effectively supports Agile delivery, Dev Sec Ops practices, and reporting workflows, while maintaining structured, reusable repositories that enable traceability, compliance, and long‑term program knowledge retention.
Requirements- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- This position is remote but may require occasional onsite meetings in McLean, VA.
- You can be based out of the following states: AZ, DC, FL, GA, OH, ME, MD, SC, TX, UT, VA, NC, OK, WV.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Knowledge Management, Business, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience managing collaboration, documentation, or knowledge management platforms.
- Strong experience administering and configuring Jira and Confluence.
- Experience using Git for version control of shared artifacts or documentation.
- Strong understanding of Agile workflows and work tracking concepts.
- Experience supporting structured documentation and knowledge repositories.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to documentation quality.
- Experience supporting large, multi‑team programs.
- Experience enabling traceability and compliance through tooling.
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments.
- Manage and administer collaboration and knowledge management tools used across VESEE.
- Ensure consistent and effective use of Jira, Confluence, and Git across delivery teams.
- Configure and maintain Jira workflows to support Agile planning, execution, and tracking.
- Ensure tooling supports Dev Sec Ops activities including work tracking, documentation, and auditability.
- Establish and enforce standards for documentation structure, naming, and organization.
- Ensure Confluence spaces and pages are structured for discoverability, reuse, and clarity.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, work items, documentation, and artifacts.
- Support compliance and audit needs by ensuring documentation and work tracking are complete and accessible.
- Oversee Git repositories used for documentation, configuration artifacts, and shared program assets. Ensure version control practices support reuse, history tracking, and collaboration.
- Support reporting needs by ensuring Jira and Confluence data structures enable accurate metrics and dashboards.
- Assist stakeholders in accessing and interpreting program information.
- Identify opportunities to improve tooling usage, documentation quality, and knowledge‑sharing practices.
- Drive adoption of best practices across teams through guidance and training.
- Serve as a point of contact for tooling questions, configuration requests, and process guidance.
- Coordinate with delivery, security, and operations teams to align tooling with program needs.
- Create and maintain guidance, templates, and standards for tool usage.
- Provide onboarding and training support related to collaboration and knowledge platforms.
