Network Security Engineer Security Clearance

Position: Network Security Engineer with Security Clearance
Piper Companies is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join us in Mclean, Va. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for providing architectural, technical, and problem resolution support for a federal agency network and security infrastructure. Responsibilities of the Network Security Engineer Consultant include:
* Understand the customer environment, requirements, and security roadmap to implement the appropriate security solution
* Design, implementation, operations, troubleshooting, and resolution across multiple network domains
* Optimize the overall network security infrastructure with Palo Alto equipment
* Test and validate the network security environment
* Participate in system upgrades, deployments, and enhancements
* Work extensively with Palo Alto Prisma Access, Firewalls, and global protect
* Facilitate the development of new application and threat signatures
* Interact with our Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to understand and diagnose support cases Qualifications for the Network Security Engineer include:
* Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
* Experience with Palo Alto Panorama 9.x and above
* Experience with Palo Alto Global Protect
* Experience with Palo Alto Prisma Access
* Experience with Palo Alto Firewall Threat Protection, URL filtering
* Experience with decryption / TLS / Security Profiles / PKE and Deep understanding of PCAPS
* Bachelors degree in IT related field
