Role OverviewEigen X Federal is seeking a Salesforce Developer to support DHS programs by designing, building, and enhancing secure, scalable Salesforce solutions. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technologist who thrives in agile teams, understands federal delivery constraints, and is motivated by mission impact.
You will work closely with Salesforce Architects, Delivery Leads, Product Owners, and client stakeholders to implement features, integrations, and enhancements across DHS Salesforce environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and declarative tools
- Implement and customize Salesforce functionality across Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Public Sector Solutions (as applicable)
- Build and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and external systems
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with Product Owners and BAs to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Deliver high-quality code aligned with sprint commitments and program milestones
- Write unit tests and maintain required test coverage to support reliable deployments
- Support CI/CD pipelines and version control processes
- Ensure solutions meet federal security, privacy, and accessibility requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, Section 508)
- Work closely with Architects and Delivery Leads to ensure scalable and maintainable designs
- Support system refactoring, technical debt reduction, and platform modernization efforts
- Assist with production support, defect resolution, and sustainment activities
- Create and maintain technical documentation aligned with federal standards
- Support audit, ATO, and compliance documentation as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement and delivery best practices
- 4+ years of Salesforce development experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with Apex, LWC, Flows, and Salesforce configuration
- Experience working in agile delivery environments
- Familiarity with Salesforce deployment and release management processes
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust or higher clearance
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross‑functional teams
- Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, or Consultant-level certifications)
- Experience supporting federal or public sector Salesforce implementations, preferably DHS
- Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS)
- Experience with integrations, middleware platforms, or cloud services (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with Dev Ops tools (Copado, Gearset, Git-based workflows)
