Job Overview

Pen Fed is hiring a (Hybrid) Governance Risk Compliance Sr. Analyst at our Tysons, Virginia;
Irving, Texas or San Antonio, Texas location. The Senior Analyst, GRC Program & Systems Enablement is accountable for supporting Pen Fed's enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) program through effective execution of the Archer GRC platform. This role works closely with GRC leadership, compliance, internal audit, enterprise risk, business control owners, and technology teams to execute for a consistent, well-governed GRC program.

The role is primarily focused on GRC program analysis, system enablement, and initiative execution. While the analyst may perform limited Archer administration or configuration when needed, the primary emphasis is on leading requirement definition identification, solution design, and coordination with internal and external Archer developers. Accountability and oversight of Enterprise Issues Management governance is included as a supporting component of the broader GRC program.

  • Accountable for working with stakeholders to design, execute, and continuously improve Pen Fed's enterprise GRC program.
  • Partners with GRC leadership to analyze program needs, regulatory expectations, and business requirements.
  • Translates GRC program requirements into clear functional and system requirements for Archer-enabled solutions and responsible for monitoring/tracking solutions to completion.
  • Supports management and board reporting related to risk posture, control status, and program effectiveness.
  • Serves as a GRC program liaison between business stakeholders and internal/external Archer administrators and developers.
  • Responsible for functional oversight of Archer use cases supporting the GRC program, including Enterprise & Operational Risk Management, Policy Management, Audit Management, and Third-Party Risk (as applicable)
  • Reviews and validates Archer configurations, workflows, calculations, and data models to ensure alignment with program intent
  • Delivers hands‑on Archer administration or configuration as needed to support continuity or time‑sensitive initiatives.
  • Supports the governance and effective use of the Enterprise Issues Management process as part of the broader GRC program.
  • Ensures issues identified through audits, exams, risk assessments, and compliance activities are consistently tracked within Archer.
  • Responsible for the execution of timely issue status reporting, aging analysis, and remediation tracking to support management oversight.
  • Oversees data quality and consistency across GRC‑related Archer use cases.
  • Partners with IT and Archer developers on reporting, dashboards, and system integrations.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve GRC processes through system‑enabled efficiencies and standardization.
  • Develops and delivers consistent reporting to monitor and track GRC program initiatives.

This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity.

Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in GRC, risk management, compliance, audit, or financial services operations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with Archer GRC in a functional, administrative, or oversight capacity
  • Strong understanding of financial institution GRC practices and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience partnering with technology teams or vendors to deliver GRC initiatives
  • Experience in a credit union or similarly regulated financial institution, desired.
  • Familiarity with NCUA regulations and FFIEC guidance, desired.
  • Experience supporting (but not necessarily owning) an Enterprise Issues Management process, desired.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not supervise employees.

Licenses and Certifications

Archer Administrator or Archer Administration (I or II) Certification.
