A leading government contracting firm supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Senior Service Now Architect to provide enterprise‑level architectural leadership for one of the VA’s largest IT programs. The company has doubled in size over the past year and is rapidly expanding its team of experts to deliver high-impact, mission‑critical solutions. This role focuses on the Service Now platform and offers the opportunity to shape enterprise architecture, integrations, and long‑term modernization strategy.
This is a high‑visibility, strategic role for a candidate who truly understands Service Now inside and out. You will not simply configure workflows; you will set the technical vision, architect scalable solutions, and ensure the platform meets compliance, security, and operational goals. The VA program recently transitioned to this firm, providing a unique opportunity to lead improvements and define best‑in‑class architecture.
You will work closely with VA stakeholders, guide technical teams, and drive decisions that directly impact enterprise modernization and platform performance.
- 7+ years of experience with Service Now in enterprise‑scale environments
- 3+ years in an architect or principal technical leadership role
- Public Trust clearance or higher
- Local to the DC area
- Deep understanding of Service Now platform internals, data models, and integration patterns
- Experience leading multi‑module, complex implementations
- Ability to translate business and mission requirements into scalable, secure, compliant architectures
- Experience in federal or regulated environments
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Service Now certifications (CSA required; CIS or CTA preferred)
- Experience supporting VA or other federal agencies
- Experience establishing platform governance, architecture standards, and COE processes
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud (AWS Gov Cloud / Azure) and integration best practices
- 100% Service Now Platform (Architecture, Governance, Integrations)
