Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer – SQL/Oracle Database to support database operations across on-premises, containerized, and cloud environments. This remote role is integral to our DoD portfolio and supports a secure, cloud-based application platform used by development, QA, and system teams.
What You Will Do:- Deploy, manage, and maintain databases in secure remote environments.
- Plan, engineer, install, configure, operate, defend, troubleshoot, and repair database systems including Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, MySQL, Postgre
SQL, and Mongo
DB. - Lead database administration activities including updates, configuration management, and documentation.
- Implement continuous database improvements and deliver performance and improvement reports.
- Proactive health monitors, notifications, scheduled reporting, and live health and performance dashboards.
- Ensure data integrity, security compliance, and optimal performance across all database systems.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge to support data management across software development and engineering systems.
- Supervise and mentor junior database team members as needed.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance and ability to obtain SCI.
- Minimum of Six (6) years of experience in database administration within Dev Ops and cloud environments.
- Bachelor's degree or four (4) additional years of experience is needed in lieu of degree.
- Strong expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, MySQL and Oracle familiarity with other RDBMS and No
SQL systems. - Experience supporting DoW or similar secure environments.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with AI/Mlops
- Microsoft SQL Certs (DP‑300)
- Oracle OCA/OCP
- Security+ Experience with container orchestration
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Security-focused mindset with knowledge of compliance standards.
