Location: San Pedro, CA —
Onsite 5 days per week (no remote flexibility)

This is a hands-on delivery role for a senior-level Project Manager who thrives in complex, operational environments. You will own active in-flight projects while working inside a newly forming Adaptive PMO. This role is about execution, accountability, and results. There is an immediate need to stabilize in-flight initiatives while operating within an adaptive PMO model that will evolve as delivery matures.

• Own delivery for critical, in-flight projects in a 24/7, zero-downtime operating environment
• Build and maintain realistic project plans, dependencies, and risk registers
• Run weekly delivery cadence: status, risks, blockers, escalations
• Drive accountability across operations, IT, vendors, and leadership
• Surface issues early and push for resolution
• Support change readiness and adoption as part of delivery
• Apply and help refine PMO standards based on real delivery conditions
• Follow and help shape lightweight PMO standards while execution continues
• Establish portfolio-level visibility across timelines, dependencies, risks, and decision points
• Surface tradeoffs clearly: what moves, what slips, and why when priorities or capacity change
• Operate within defined governance and escalation paths while helping refine them through real delivery

You will be expected to lead from the front, not manage from the sidelines.

• 8–15+ years of project management experience
• Demonstrated ability to operate across multiple in-flight initiatives and shared dependencies
• Experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Port, or Industrial environments
• Experience operating in or alongside a PMO
• Proven track record stabilizing complex, in-flight projects
• Comfortable working across technology, operations, infrastructure, and vendors
• Strong risk, dependency, and critical path management skills
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder presence

• Can walk into ambiguity and create order fast
• Pushes for decisions and holds teams accountable
• Holds people accountable without being a bulldozer
• Can flex across project types (tech, ops, infrastructure, vendor-led)
• Calm under pressure; direct when needed

• Port or terminal systems exposure (TOS, logistics platforms, infrastructure tech)
• ERP, data, or enterprise application project experience
• PMP, Agile, or SAFe credentials
