- Location:
Onsite in McLean, VA (22102); candidates must live within 40 miles - Experience
Required: - 18+ years of overall IT experience
- 8+ years as a Solution Architect with stakeholder engagement
- 15+ years of Java development experience
- Hands-on experience with design patterns, architectural patterns, Gen AI, and data modernization
- Role Responsibilities:
- Define and establish technical vision and solution architecture
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders for solution alignment
- Develop high-level solution intent, reference architectures, and design patterns
- Own product architecture and ensure it meets functional and non-functional requirements
- Plan and develop architectural runway for new features and capabilities
- Evaluate new technologies and propose solution alternatives
- Participate in deployment activities and incident resolution
- Build reusable reference applications/implementations
- Develop and maintain application design pattern catalog
- Work closely with business architects, product owners, agile coaches, enterprise architecture, and security teams
- Lead technical/vendor evaluations, POCs, and communicate business cases
- Guide development teams on design and implementation alignment
- Resolve implementation issues across project lifecycle
- Candidate Profile:
- Undergraduate degree (advanced preferred); extensive experience in solution architecture and business application development
- Deep expertise in microservices, micro-frontends, 12-factor applications, and cloud-native architectures
- 10+ years of task management and large-scale enterprise transformation experience
- Experience in the mortgage industry and knowledge of industry platforms preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts for business teams and drive organizational change
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to operate at a high standard in a fast-paced environment.
