What You Will DoThe Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of public health data modernization and interoperability projects. This role focuses on maintaining project organization, facilitating communication across multiple projects, tracking progress, and supporting the timely delivery of high‑quality work products in collaboration with public health agencies (PHAs), technical implementation teams, and subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary PoC for clients, responsible for building strong client relationships, demonstrating a high degree of responsiveness and accountability for giving our clients an amazing experience.
- Maintain and update project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and tasks using Jira and approved project documentation.
- Facilitate internal and PHA‑facing meetings such as standups, check‑ins, and retrospectives; prepare agendas, document meeting notes, and track action items.
- Coordinate project documentation, including charters, deliverables, meeting materials, and final work products, following established templates and file conventions.
- Support risk, issue, and dependency tracking; communicate potential blockers and considerations to project leadership in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with technical and business team members to align tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
- Monitor overall quality and completeness of project outputs prior to submission or handoff.
- Support Agile ways of working by coordinating backlog updates, milestones, and Jira task hygiene.
- Contribute to post‑project reviews and application of lessons learned across engagements.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least four (4) years of full life cycle project management across planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout for complex technical initiatives.
- Experience producing project plans, schedules, status reports, and executive briefings.
- Experience managing complex projects with all levels of staff.
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Hands‑on experience engaging with and managing cross‑discipline teams (e.g., Technical, Functional, SME level).
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving requirements.
- Proven experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies in multi‑team and multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Strong command of Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models.
- Experience supporting collaborative decision making across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (i.e. US Citizenship required)
- Working knowledge of public health systems, surveillance workflows, and state, local and tribal public health environments.
- Direct experience supporting CDC, HHS, or similar federal public health programs.
- Experience overseeing AI‑enabled tools, decision support, or automation in public health contexts.
- Exposure to Dev Sec Ops , system modernization, or legacy system migration efforts.
