Senior UX​/UI Developer & Designer; WordPress​/Joomla

Overview

Job Description:

We are seeking a cleared UX/UI Developer & Designer who can propose powerful business solutions, care deeply about the user journey, and elevate user experiences by bridging intuitive design and functional code.

• Manage communication websites, including content updates and improving functionality, using Word Press and Joomla.
• Build websites from the ground up.

• Bachelor’s degree in UX, Design, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience. Additional professional experience can substitute for the degree.
• Experience designing and developing high‑quality websites using Word Press and Joomla.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.x, Section 508 compliance, responsive design, and front‑end best practices in secure government environments.
• Experience with HTML and CSS.
• Developing wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups.
• Knowledge of human‑centered design methodology or design thinking principles.
• Ability to build out websites from the ground up and transfer existing content.
• Working independently or collaboratively with a team.
• Outstanding portfolio or link that showcases design experience.
• Ability to take the reins and manage projects through the website development process.

• Certifications in UX/UI, Accessibility, and/or Front‑End Development.

Salary range provided during selection process; exact pay will be determined based on experience, contract requirements, billable status, position urgency, demand, location, and telework options.
