Position Overview

Are you looking for a career to work with the newest technologies and will drive enterprise solutions in architecture role? The Freddie Mac Enterprise Data Office architecture team is seeking a Data Architect Technical Lead to provide architecture solutions for enterprise data platforms.

• Enable critical capability to support key business needs through innovative solutions.
• Deliver solutions aligned with enterprise data strategy to ensure consistency and quality.
• Achieve architectural alignment across technology and solutions to guide strategic direction.
• Define target states to meet business outcomes and create roadmaps that deliver incremental improvements and value.
• Define and create reference architectures and architecture/design patterns to ensure consistent implementation of the architecture roadmaps.
• Identify solution alternatives and/or new technologies to meet new business needs or address existing business concerns, such as customer experience, operational efficiency, performance and cost effectiveness

• Drive critical business capabilities by delivering innovative solutions using the latest cloud technologies
• Provide technical consultation to partners and IT management on technology options, architectural trade-offs, standards alignments, risks, and roadmap development.
• Present and communicate architectural solutions and patterns to both technical and on-technical partners, demonstrating their value in meeting business needs.
• Collaborate with business partners and risk & security groups to ensure alignment of architecture with business objectives, roadmaps, and organization policies and standards.
• Define and deliver architectural solution documentations, patterns, product deliverables, and decisions with clear rationale, especially in data patterns and solution architecture.
• Evaluate and compare solutions to identify the optimal choices for business needs.

• Best-in-class professional with ability to make architecture and design decisions and tradeoffs for solution architecture that looks across the applications landscape and adheres to enterprise standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of AWS Cloud experience working with AWS services EC2, S3, EKS, RDS/Aroura, EMR, Lambda
• 3+ years working with SaaS platforms such as Snowflake, Collibra, Mongo/Mongo

• 3+ years of large-scale digital transformation & AWS Cloud migration hands on experience with multiple technology areas like API, Microservices, Event Streaming, Logging & Monitoring, Databases (SQL, NOSQL), Containers, Serverless Frameworks, AI & ML etc.), API Platform (Apigee), Kafka, AMQ
• 10+ years of broad technology experience and knowledge across multiple disciplines such as application development, database SQL/No
  
  SQL, infrastructure platform, security products, ETL products, Data Management and Business Intelligence (BI) tools
• 10 years of practical experience in solution, data, architecture applied to multiple large-scale enterprise systems.
• 5 years' extensive knowledge and experience in the Data technologies for Data Analytics, Data Lake/Mart/Warehouse, Big Data (Hadoop, HBase, Hive), Databases SQL/No
  
  SQL (DB2, Oracle, Sybase, Mongo, Postgres), ETL (Informatica, Talend, Sqoop), CDC (Attunity), REST API, Integration/EAI technologies like Informatica, BI tools (Micro Strategy/Tableau), Data Management tools
• 10 years' experience with Technologies including Web Service API, Integration/EAI technologies like Informatica, XML, JSON, JDBC, SQL, Java, Python, R
• Knowledge of enterprise data models, information classification, meta-data models, taxonomies and ontologies

• Direct experience most recent cloud-based AWS technology and familiarity with the latest industry trends and technology for enterprise data needs.
• Data and Architectural leadership with knowledge of both legacy and modern cloud-based data technologies and applications
• Strong judgment with excellent decision-making skills and excellent analytical skills, ability to deal with ambiguity and lead technical solutions.
