This role focuses on designing, building, and managing data infrastructure across on‑premise and cloud environments. You will develop pipelines and algorithms to ingest and optimize large datasets, generate metrics to ensure data integrity, and build tools to monitor, automate, and deploy AI/ML models across existing analytics platforms. You will also lead cloud computing optimization efforts (leveraging tools like PySpark and distributed computing), design and implement microservices architecture, and support CI/CD processes across multiple environments.

The contractor will serve as a full‑stack technical enabler for the project's data science team — covering everything from system architecture and database administration to UX development and production support. This includes designing scalable platforms for data collection, analysis, and visualization, as well as owning end‑to‑end product development from concept through deployment.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience inthe development, customization,and use of developing applications for analysis.
• Demonstratedexperiencewithcloudmicroservicesandtools,suchas
  
  S3,RDSes,andEC2
• instances.
• Demonstrated experience managing
  
  Structured Query Language  (SQL) databases within cloud based relational databases; specifically, populating SQL database (MySQL and Postgres) with new schemas, mapping between different SQL databases, and streamlining data discovery.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and automating
  
  Nifiworkflows for Extract-Transformloadprocesses,aswellascustom
  
  Pythonor
  
  Javacodewhenappropriate.
• Demonstrated experience creating operating system level scripts to perform ETLoperations on SQL databases.
• Demonstratedexperiencewithversioncontrolsystems,specifically
  
  Git.
• Demonstratedexperiencewith Java Script ,CSS,HTMLS,and Flask.
• Demonstrated experience usingcontainerizationsuch as Docker or developing and deploying containerized applicationsor databases.
• Demonstratedexperiencewithuser-centered design principlesandpractices,web standards,
• typographyandcolor,andwebusabilitystandards.
• Demonstrated experience Anaconda,Bash,and Terraformfordevelopmentpurposes.
• Demonstratedexperiencebuildingandmaintaining Cl/CDpipelineswithsoftwaresuchassource control (Git/Git Hub), continuous build/delivery(Jenkins), issue management(Jira), and documentation/collaboration(Confluence).
• Demonstratedexperiencewithautomatedtestinganddeploymentofinfrastructureor
• configurations.
• Demonstrated experience in the administration,provisioning, anduse ofcloud technologies (i.e.AWS) particularly with application of data science approaches in the cloud.
• Demonstrated experienceoptimizingconnectivity between cloud-based services and on prem high performance cloud compute servers.
• Demonstratedexperiencecreatingandmaintainingsystemsandarchitecturaldocumentation
• Demonstrated experience with provisioning and management of cloud compute resources and services, such as AWS, Azure, or similar.
• Demonstratedprofessionalproficiencywiththefollowingcodinglanguages:
