Take2 is hiring a Network Engineer who is eligible to be sponsored for a Secret Clearance
. This position is hybrid and will require you to work 2-3 days a week in Mclean, VA. This will be a 2 - 3 month long position with the potential for extension.
Network Engineer Core Routing - CISCO & JUNIPER Network Design and Implementation:
- Create and contribute to network routing designs based on OSPF, ISIS, and BGP protocols to ensure high availability, efficiency and performance.
- Manage and administer enterprise, network switches and routers, from Cisco and Juniper, including implementing and maintaining Cisco IOS and Junos OS updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Develop and update critical network documentation and design guides including but not limited to ConOPS, SOP/MOP’s, and network diagrams.
- Act as escalation in routing and network troubleshooting for junior team members.
- Contribute to operational excellence by establishing clear procedures and operational processes for the department from the projects in which you work or systems of which you maintain.
- Collaborate with teams to improve automation, and management toolkits. Work with our reliability teams to ensure proper monitoring of systems, alerting functions and metrics can be gathered for measurement of system and/or network reliability.
- Identify and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network designs with organizational goals and mission requirements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and government regulations.
- Experience in Juniper routers and switches
- Understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, and BGP, including troubleshooting and optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 network operation support, including on‑site support after hours if necessary.
- Certifications such as CCNP (Cisco) or JNCIP (Juniper), demonstrating knowledge in both Cisco and Juniper network technologies.
- Experience managing and administering Juniper SRX’s, routers and switches
, including JunOS updates and configurations to ensure compliance, security, and optimal performance. - Familiarity with Juniper‑specific tools and technologies for network automation and monitoring.
- Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, Terraform).
- Experience managing and administering self‑deployed MPLS Networks.
