Software Applications Tester - TS​/SCI Polygraph

Job Overview

The Software Applications Tester will support Government activities at McLean, VA, providing testing and quality assurance for enterprise-wide systems and products for the Intelligence Community (IC). The role involves working on microservices architectures, leveraging commercial tools such as AWS, Service Now, and automated testing frameworks, within an Agile environment.

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using microservices architecture.
• Perform manual testing, interpret system requirements, write test plans and scripts, and execute test cases.
• Document results, communicate findings with development teams, and manage defects in JIRA.
• Validate SQL and database logic using MySQL/Oracle.
• Design and execute automated test cases using Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent tools.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams in an Agile setting to deliver outstanding customer service.

• 10+ years of related software testing or quality engineering experience.
• Proficiency with manual testing, JIRA, SQL/test validation, MySQL/Oracle, Selenium, Cypress, or similar automated testing tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with AWS, Service Now, and Agile development processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph; authorization to obtain additional clearance if needed.

• Full-time, 40-hour work week; travel less than 10%.

Competitive salary range of $124,093–$149,500 plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, disability, and life insurance.
