Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a fully cleared Web Developer to support an enterprise IT program. The position requires full stack web development support specializing in user experience design, user interface design, development, and maintenance of Joomla and Word Press websites. The selected candidate will be responsible for both the design and development of assigned projects.

In this role you will

work closely within a business environment to provide quality visualization and publishing services in support of corporate communication requirements for a community”wide client base. The Web Developer will work independently to maintain systems, workflows, and project schedules, and collaborate with in”house team members and client subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess requirements and provide creative and robust website experiences that are technically sound and cost recoverable.

They will design user interfaces (UI) and employ industry standard user experience (UX) methodologies to create intuitive experiences. They will produce properly structured and tested websites that are Section 508 compliant, apply Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards, provide recommendations on multimedia and communication design, and conduct focus groups and user testing to define requirements. They will document requirements, develop concept wireframes and prototypes, test, deploy, and maintain Joomla and Word Press sites.

They will also participate in biweekly team meetings on project status and resolution of inhibitors, provide status reports, monitor expenditures, contribute production data, and interface directly with customers as a technical SME while coordinating with Infrastructure and Project Management teams.

Required Security Clearance
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 15+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Joomla and Word Press site information architecture design, visual design, and site administration.
  • Demonstrated experience with end user-focused UX methodologies including conducting focus groups and user testing, building intuitive information architecture, and developing conceptual wireframes and prototypes.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and supporting Joomla Extension or Module creation.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Joomla websites.
  • Demonstrated experience in development of custom Joomla modules and components (e.g. news, login, search, filtering).
  • Demonstrated experience in development of custom Joomla plugins to override core functionality (e.g. contact forms, events, appointments).
  • Demonstrated experience in Joomla extension development (i.e. components, modules, plugins, and templates).
  • Demonstrated experience in generating template creation and integration.
  • Demonstrated experience with Gantry, Helix, and T4 Joomla frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Word Press websites.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting database-driven websites.
  • Demonstrated experience developing websites and applications meeting Section 508 standards for accessibility and usability as well as privacy and copyright compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience testing with multiple forms of assistive technology tools (JAWS, NVDA, Zoom Text) and browser specific technologies (Lighthouse, JAWS Inspect, WAVE, ARC Tool)
