IT Project Manager, Scrum Master

As part of EDO Strategy and Operations, we provide a variety of data services and support for information technology and business teams across the enterprise in the realm of analytics, business intelligence, discovery, geocoding, governance, mastering, modeling, privacy, and quality. We are leading the change to provide services that enable consolidating, centralizing and consuming shared data for the enterprise to serve various data analytics and reporting needs.
YourImpact
You, as our ideal candidate, will guide and lead the team through the delivery of software and services, while embracing and promoting the Agile attitude. You will partner with Product Management, Product Owners, and others to define the mission value and help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
You Will Also- Work with the Scrum Team to ensure scrum best practices are followed from initiation through delivery of EDO projects.
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel.
- Facilitate management of the product backlog and coordinate with other Agile Coaches to identify and manage cross‑team dependencies.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, emphasizing healing and problem solving.
- Track and monitor the scrum team's deliverables and report metrics at the iteration and project levels.
- Mentor and coach the Scrum team to instill agile values and principles and lead by example.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information.
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Mediated conflicts to help the team make decisions and adhere to continuous improvement principles.
- Keep the Scrum process on track and pass it to the team as self‑organization matures.
- Help the team adhere to the best engineering practices and understand technical debt.
- Leverage data to measure and monitor progress.
- Ensure agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, serving as a voice of reason and authority.
- Maintain an agile mindset and understand the underlying values of agile.
- Understand the Scrum framework and the values of each artifact, role, and event.
- Remove team impediments and facilitate Agile practices.
- Facilitate the creation of a self‑organized, self‑managed team that can identify and deliver work in time‑boxed iterations.
- Train or support the training of Agile Coaches on Freddie Mac's Agile methodology, processes, and controls.
- Ensure the project team adheres to the Freddie Mac Agile Project control.
- 5+ years of direct experience in one or more aspects of Information Technology (Software design/development, IT Architecture, or other related IT areas).
- Minimum Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Scrum Master (PMI-ACP);
Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus. - Two or more years of explicit experience as an Agile Scrum Master of an Agile delivery team, preferably in large organizations.
- Kanban certification preferred.
- Hands‑on Version One/JIRA tool experience preferred.
- Solid business and technical systems acumen.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and negotiation.
