Role Description
As part of the Salesforce Public Sector business unit, we provide PaaS and SaaS cloud solutions to customers that meet NIST, FedRAMP, and other applicable standards. We are looking for a Mulesoft Pre‑Sales Solution Engineer to partner with sales teams, align solutions to customer vision, perform technical discovery, deliver product demonstrations, Proof of Concepts, technical workshops, and architectural recommendations. The role involves connecting technical solutions to business outcomes and advocating for customers.
Minimum Qualifications- United States citizenship required.
- Acceptable results from a U.S. federal background investigation and maintaining a Security clearance (TS/SCI with polygraph) required.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS.
- 7+ years as a solution/sales engineer for a middleware or similar technology company.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills.
- Knowledge of related applications, relational database, web technology, and cyber‑security API development experience (Java, Python, etc.).
- Proficient experience with microservices development and enterprise integration patterns.
- Solid oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a cross‑functional team to solve technical problems.
- Willingness to travel domestically.
- Understand customer goals and challenges and map those back to the Salesforce product portfolio.
- Establish trust with clients and influence key decision makers.
- Hands‑on Java development experience and ability to code and debug against Java APIs preferred.
- Experience with cloud technologies – iPaaS, SaaS applications, cloud infrastructure, etc. preferred.
- Participate in product, sales, technical training and certifications to maintain necessary knowledge.
- Attain quarterly and annual objectives defined collaboratively with management.
- Respond effectively to RFIs/RFPs.
- Active participation in a fast‑paced, high‑energy market segment and balance multiple projects in a team‑selling environment.

Compensation and BenefitsThe typical base salary range for this position is $134,750 – $210,910 annually. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range is $148,190 – $231,980 per year.
