Data Scientist - Expert level

Overview

Data Scientist — Full Time, McLean, VA. Seek to analyze large amounts of data (raw, text, sponsor, etc.) to provide business insight.

• Analyze large amounts of data (raw, text, sponsor, etc.) to provide business insight.
• Develop practical approaches for measuring performance; assist in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to senior leadership.
• Conduct advanced statistical analysis on personnel, intelligence, and performance metrics.
• Assist in selecting or developing appropriate methodologies to conduct research; analyze information and present findings clearly to customers.
• Write Python scripts to pull data from web-based APIs and relational databases.
• Develop applications for semantic search.
• Tune large language models (LLMs) on custom data sets and apply results to specific use cases.
• Produce visualizations and dashboards (Tableau) to support decision making.
• Leverage GPUs for accelerated computing where applicable.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have an Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
• Experience with NLP tasks: selecting Python libraries, preprocessing, analyzing, and evaluating model performance
• Experience using Python NLP packages (Spa Cy, Gensim, NLTK) to analyze or process document collections
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Tensor Flow, Keras)
• Experience with the Hugging Face Transformers library and hub
• Experience creating ML models for text classification and topic modeling using Scikit-learn or deep learning models
• Experience with encoder-decoder and generative language models for NLP tasks
• Ability to communicate methodological choices and model results
• Proficiency with SQL (CTEs, set operations, aggregations, nested subqueries)
• Experience with version control systems (Git Hub) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
• Experience leveraging GPUs for accelerated computing
• Experience with cloud computing development and architecture
• Experience with front-end web development frameworks such as Flask
• Experience developing applications for semantic search
• Experience with Tableau to produce visualizations and dashboards
