Position
Description:
IDS is seeking an ambitious self-starter to administer our company's Azure and Microsoft 365 environment. We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in cloud identity management, endpoint administration, and Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure Active Directory). The ideal candidate will work well in a collaborative environment, think creatively, thrive under pressure, and adjust to shifting priorities quickly. Location & Work Model:
This is a hybrid role based out of our Tysons office located in McLean, VA. Day-to-day work is performed remotely, with on-site presence (approximately one day per week) to support in-office IT needs such as hardware provisioning, conference room technology, and hands-on troubleshooting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage and maintain cloud identity infrastructure in Microsoft Entra , including user lifecycle, conditional access policies, and role-based access controls. Administer endpoint management using Microsoft Intune, including application deployment and patching, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and Windows Autopilot provisioning. Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) policies for corporate and BYOD devices. Maintain and troubleshoot hybrid identity synchronization using Microsoft Entra Connect or Entra Cloud Sync, as applicable.
Develop and maintain Power Shell scripts to automate administration tasks across Azure, Entra , and Intune. Support on-premises Active Directory and Group Policy where applicable in hybrid environments. Monitor and troubleshoot Azure environment performance, connectivity, and security issues. Implement and maintain configurations aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and organizational security and compliance frameworks. Support networking concepts related to Azure virtual networking, DNS, and connectivity to on-premises resources.
Knowledge and
Skills:
Required Skills:
Three (3) years of experience implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions. Three (3) years of experience with Microsoft Entra , including conditional access, app registrations, and identity governance. Two (2) years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, application deployment, and compliance enforcement. Two (2) years of experience with on-premises Active Directory and Group Policy configurations in hybrid identity environments.
Three (3) years of experience with Power Shell scripting for automation and administration. Three (3) years of experience troubleshooting and resolving cloud environment performance, connectivity, and security issues. One (1) year of experience working within structured security and compliance processes. Preferred
Skills:
Experience operating within Microsoft GCC High or similar FedRAMP-authorized environments. Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 controls and CMMC compliance requirements.
Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (Config Mgr) in Intune co-management scenarios.
Experience with Crowd Strike Falcon for endpoint detection and response (EDR). CompTIA Security+ CE certification. Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., AZ-104, MS-102, SC-300). Education and

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics or other related discipline is preferred. Physical & Mental
