Senior Building Automation Project Manager

Altura is actively seeking a Senior Building Automation Project Manager to support our Master Systems Integration (MSI) practice in order to help us grow and scale our impact. We are seeking someone who is excited to help us continue to pioneer best in class approaches to secure, scaled and centralized building automation system architectures that unlock the industry from proprietary and vertically managed hardware solutions.

** Scope & Responsibilities*
* + Manage a portfolio of clients and projects, including client relationships, team leadership, technical oversight and schedule & budget management.

+ Lead MSI strategy and implementation projects, leveraging an in-house team of MSI implementation specialists and analytics tools to deliver superior client outcomes and building performance.

+ Maintain and grow a presence for Altura in the Mid-Atlantic through active engagement with clients, in local industry associations, speaking engagements, and through thought leadership.

+ Lead business development efforts to grow Altura's client base and expand services with existing clients. Client outreach, business development, and proposals are expected to average 10% of your time.

+ Manage the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable Niagara programming and graphics supervisors to deliver centralized project optimization and analytics integration across existing and new building control systems. Execute project work and manage internal teams to deliver:

+ Niagara migration projects:
Project management, design strategy, vendor and client coordination, deep IT coordination, scheduling, proactive client communications, QAQC, training

+ New Construction MSI Projects:
Project management, design reviews, controls procurement support, vendor and client coordination, deep IT coordination, scheduling, proactive client communications, QAQC, training

+ Enterprise Systems Administration:
Project management, client coordination, stakeholder engagement, guidelines and specifications development, strategic network management oversight, systems and application strategy, training

+ Travel within the U.S. engage with clients and manage projects as needed. Travel is expected to average 10-20% over the course of a year, and is expected to be largely confined to the East Coast.

* Required Qualifications:

*
* + 10+ years of direct experience in the building automation system industry, including engineering, programming, graphics, and project management.

+ Solid understanding of information technology (IT) as it relates to building automation including experience collaborating and communicating with IT personnel, experience and know-how prescribing reliable, secure communication pathways and network subnetting configurations, familiarity and comprehension of common IT tools such as routers, switches, firewalls, and media converters, understanding of the different tools and techniques for managing BAS data across different layers of network architecture, and deep experience troubleshooting BAS communication and networking issues.

+ 5+ years of experience as a project and client manager, including proposal development, budget and schedule management, and conflict resolution.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record of building collaboration within teams to solve complex problems

+ Proven track record of developing client relationships and selling new work, including significant experience with proposal strategy, pricing, and authoring

+ Ambitious, positive, self starting, problem solving.
