Ernst & Young’s U.S. Government and Public Sector (GPS) practice is a robust and emerging practice with tremendous potential for growth. As a Senior Splunk Engineer, you will lead the implementation of Splunk solutions for our clients, develop strategy, onboard key sources, and enhance and operationalize the solution within their operating environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration of LDAP/Directory Services products in Identity and Access Management, including Red Hat Directory Server, Radiant One Identity Data Platform, and Shibboleth.
  • Apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures to technical assignments, performing work that requires practical experience and training.
  • Maintain collaboration sites and onboarding documentation, including baseline code and product configuration.
  • Provide ongoing support for new policy creation and COTS software configuration related to evolving security policies and credentialing rules.
  • Review existing processes and procedures, implementing efficiency improvements and automation of manual activities.
  • Perform installations and configurations for LDAP/Directory Services products and the SSO product – Shibboleth.
  • Perform patching and system updates as necessary.
  • Analyze and resolve infrastructure issues between LDAP/Directory Services products and enterprise environments.
  • Interface with customers to support onboarding activities.
  • Use Splunk to perform auditing and logging with LDAP/Directory Services products.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and hands‑on training to other team members.
  • Create and maintain documentation of installations, upgrades, change requests, and related activities in a shared centralized store.
  • Monitor progress and manage risk while keeping stakeholders informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Leverage industry trends to identify engagement and client service issues, communicating findings to the on‑site engagement team.
  • Develop and review reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Mentor and coach staff to grow their technical and consulting skills.
  • Work closely with the engagement manager to co‑lead and own multiple parts of the engagement delivery.
  • Deliver quality client services, driving high‑quality work products within expected time frames and on budget.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a related role demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of relevant technologies.
  • Active Top Secret‑level clearance or higher.
  • Comfortable working in‑person as needed.
Experience
  • Cybersecurity assessments, including IT and cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
    • Cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps.
    • Cybersecurity awareness and training.
    • Cybersecurity metrics and reporting.
    • Cybersecurity organization design and implementation.
    • Cybersecurity and risk management solution design and implementation (e.g., SNOW IRM, Archer GRC, Risk Lens, Azure Security Center).
    • Federal RMF solution operations (e.g., eMass CSAM, Xacta).
    • Cybersecurity and IT architecture experience (e.g., cloud security architect, security architect).
  • Demonstrated forward‑thinking and self‑motivation, thriving on new challenges and adapting to new knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Splunk certifications (Core Certified Power User, Core Certified Admin, Core Certified Architect, Certified Developer, Enterprise Security Certified Admin, Core Certified Consultant).
