Data Governance Lead
As the Data Governance Lead, you will manage the platforms, rules, and processes that ensure organizational data is Visible, Accessible, Understandable, Linked, Trusted, Interoperable, Secure (VAULTIS) and compliant with regulations and policies. You will communicate data governance policies, establish standards, and guide stakeholders in maintaining consistent data practices across the organization. The role involves metadata management, data stewardship, and compliance oversight, ensuring that data is properly classified, retained, and protected.
WhatYou’ll Work On
- Policy and Framework Support:
Define and implement enterprise‑wide data governance programs including standards, procedures, and catalog registration. - Data Quality and Compliance:
Monitor and improve data quality, enforce regulatory compliance, and mitigate data‑related risks. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with IT, business teams, and data stewards to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. - Metadata and Business Glossary Management:
Maintain standardized business terms, definitions, relationships, and lineage to support consistent data usage. - Training Support:
Provide guidance and training to users and data stewards on governance practices and compliance. - Reporting and Analytics:
Create dashboards, metrics, and reports to track data quality, compliance, and governance program effectiveness.
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, process management, project management, and analytics.
- Knowledge of Collibra data governance platform, data classification, data protection, and enterprise data architecture.
- Ability to be a decision maker and leader, influencing data practices across the organization.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business.
- Experience with leading complex data governance or management engagements.
- Experience with leading and planning complex tasks, delivering briefings to senior‑level leaders, and identifying and implementing best practices.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and collaboratively across all groups within the client organization and with all management levels.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.

CompensationSalary range: $99,000.00 to $ (annualized USD). The projected compensation is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package. The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
