In this role, you’ll learn the essentials of being a product manager, and we’ll invest in you to grow in four key areas:

  • You’ll collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria, identifying and elevating any need for additional research to define future feature design.

As a Pulse BOSS (Back Office, Settlements, and Security) product manager you improve and scale the foundational engine powering Capital One’s newly expanded debit network ecosystem. Covering virtually all functions after a successful card swipe, Team BOSS sits at the critical intersection of hundreds of financial card issuers and merchant acquirers. We directly engineer and optimize the core infrastructure that handles:

• Back Office: modernizing end-to-end issuer disputes and reporting, automating manual onboarding applications, and delivering high-scale data analytics dashboards.
• Settlement: clearing, transaction-level billing, and processing multi-billion-dollar interchange flows.
• Security: building and managing fraud scoring and rules systems that protect customers from fraud.

You will have a direct role in minimizing payment transaction friction and maximizing operational reliability for our issuers—ensuring millions of real-time transactions move safely and seamlessly.
