Role Overview
The DFIR Engagement Manager leads high‑volume cyber‑breach response engagements for commercial and critical infrastructure clients. The role requires coordinating DFIR delivery teams, collaborating with clients and counsel, and driving project roadmap development in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee delivery of high‑volume, high‑impact emergency incident response engagements.
- Coordinate multiple DFIR delivery team activities and on‑site recovery teams.
- Partner with clients to gather scoping information, deliver updates, resolve issues, and manage cyber crises.
- Lead Agile development of project roadmaps, milestones, and metrics to track progress.
- Ensure cyber‑crisis response activities remain on‑track, with status and actions communicated effectively.
- Transform the future of DFIR by scoping, responding, investigating, and recovering from major cyber attacks.
- 3+ years of progressive project management experience, including multiple large‑scale projects.
- Experience in cyber incident response or digital forensics.
- Experience supporting the cybersecurity industry in a privacy law firm or incident response environment.
- Familiarity with project management and PMO processes: planning, resource allocation, finance projections, change requests.
- Strong ability to take ownership of in‑flight projects and drive them to completion.
- Excellent communication skills for abstract and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to pivot and respond to unpredictability during fast‑paced crisis events.
- Team‑orientation with quantitative analytical approach and confident communication.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working for a management firm or privacy law firm.
- Cross‑industry experience, including financial services, manufacturing, or energy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or related field.
- PMP or other project management certifications.
- Certifications such as CCE, EnCE, CFCE, ACE, CISSP, G‑CIA, GCFE, GCFA, GREM, or GNFA.
Salary range: $69,400.00 to $ (annualized USD). Additional benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, tuition assistance, and professional development.
Work Model- Remote: may require occasional in‑person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently; may also visit a customer facility.
- Onsite: primarily at a Booz Allen office or customer facility.
