Technical Delivery Manager; Government Acquisition Management

Government Acquisition Management (GAM) Technical Delivery Managers (TDMs) are responsible for ensuring our customers achieve remarkable business results through technology engagements and driving customer growth through technology expertise, trusted advice, and demonstrated results.

• Modernize legacy procurement systems for government agencies and improve procurement cycle times.
• Deliver Appian’s pre-built acquisition lifecycle solutions while managing formal agile delivery, risk, and impediment removal.
• Collaborate with front‑line sales reps to drive growth in strategic accounts and integrated deals.
• Lead project and account management, relationship building (customers and partners), financial management, opportunity qualification, problem identification, use‑case definition, demand generation, services positioning, and account strategy.
• Work closely with Appian Sales, Partners, the Government Acquisition Management Industry and Product team, and the Customer Success team, including Customer Success Managers.
• Maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders, buyers, and influencers.

• Deep expertise in federal acquisition business processes, including FAR, DFARS, and modern procurement vehicles.
• Experience leading in a formal agile delivery method and managing enterprise‑scale technology programs.
• Experience collaborating with architects and product designers to design and deliver solutions quickly via low‑code platforms.
• Proficiency in financial management tools and metrics and managing a book of business.
• Understanding of customers’ strategic goals and ability to position technology, develop roadmaps, and build business cases.
• Proficient in one or more value‑selling methods and creating compelling business benefits for proposals and delivery.
• Ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships; intellectual curiosity, bias for action, and excellent communication skills.
• Industry experience in Government Acquisition Management and software consulting (ERP, CRM, BPM/Workflow, Data Integration Architecture, or EAI) preferred.
• Applied knowledge of enterprise architecture and data management (preferred).
• B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an agile delivery environment with at least 1 year of leading a team.
• Willingness to travel 10% or less annually.

• Base salary range: $125,000—$250,000 USD.
• Eligible for a government clearance differential and discretionary bonus.
