Acentra Health is looking for a Systems Analyst, Specialist to join our growing team.

Job Summary

The role of the Systems Analyst, Specialist is to provide/demonstrate advanced expertise and analysis of end‑to‑end Medicaid software products. The Systems Analyst, Specialist also provides technical solutions and improves processes for complex business requirements, determines configurations, and enhances the shared product to meet business needs across multiple clients. This role participates as a subject‑matter expert during the software development lifecycle and implementation processes.

Responsibilities
  • Functions as an individual contributor and works independent of supervision, contributing to non‑routine problem‑solving and/or designs, and implements software applications or programs; coordinates and plans tasks required for implementation, operations and maintenance.
  • Analyzes and studies business requirements and outcomes and explores how existing system features can meet necessary business outcomes.
  • Leads design discussions with product, solution, and program team leads.
  • Collaborates with global development and testing team and for the successful delivery of the project. Provides guidance and clarifications to teams during development or testing. Works with senior team members on system design.
  • Prepares client presentations and demos.
  • Understands the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) demonstrates strong knowledge of applications methodologies, best practices, and procedures; and applies them to projects to ensure that applications objectives are achieved.
  • Participates in the review of existing programs to make refinements that increase their efficiency.
  • Triages defects and troubleshoots issues as needed; communicates with program teams as appropriate. Provides technical and operational support to projects and programs.
  • Excellent understanding of how software applications and programs are developed, deployed, and maintained.
  • Keeps abreast of new technology, industry and market developments.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.
  • The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all‑inclusive and may be expanded to include other education‑ and experience‑related duties that management may deem necessary from time to time.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience presenting software solutions to clients;
    Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and defect management
  • 5+ years of experience with healthcare software
  • Highly organized with analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to task and project changes;
    Ability to handle multiple projects with varying priorities, with flexibility in working under demands and needs of multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Domain knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, or government healthcare
  • Experience working with global software development teams
  • Understanding of client‑server architecture
  • Experience with software architectural techniques and high‑level design
  • Knowledge in creating database tables, views, medium to complex stored procedures, triggers and functions
