Lead Platform Engineer, Workday Functional (HCM)

General Responsibilities- Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
- Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business.
- Deliver solutions in Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll and Benefits through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards.
- Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
- Continually research, test and stay up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes and capabilities.
- Build and maintain thorough documentation for system implementation.
- Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective.
- Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least 6 years of experience with Workday functional configuration tasks.
- At least 4 years of experience configuring business processes within the Workday platform.
- At least 2 years of experience with calculated fields or custom reports.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7+ years of experience with Workday functional configuration (Recruiting, Benefits, TM/PM).
- Experience working in an agile delivery environment.
- Workday or Workday Pro certifications (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking or Performance Management).
- 2+ years of experience with Workday Security or Workday Reporting.
- 1+ years of experience loading HCM data into Workday using existing Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB’s).
