What You Will Do- Design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platform environments across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Develop and maintain cloud platform services and landing zones, including networking, identity, compute, and storage components.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Bicep to automate infrastructure provisioning.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and platform automation frameworks to enable consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Collaborate with application, Dev Ops, and security teams to onboard workloads and define platform standards, guardrails, and best practices.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, cost, and reliability using observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing).
- Implement and enforce security and compliance controls aligned to federal standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
- Support cloud migrations and modernization efforts, including rehost, re-platform, and re-architect initiatives.
- Develop reusable platform modules, templates, and self-service capabilities for engineering teams.
- Document platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree. Additional Four (4) expedience can be used in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of Four (4) years of IT experience, with at least 1+ years in cloud platform engineering or Dev Ops environments.
- Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Bicep, etc.).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud networking fundamentals (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, security groups).
- Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Working knowledge of scripting/programming (Python, Bash, Power Shell).
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Due to the nature of this role and associated government clearance requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be eligible for consideration.
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
- Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Engineer/Dev Ops, GCP Professional).
- Experience designing enterprise landing zones and platform architectures.
- Knowledge of observability and SRE practices (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
- Experience implementing Zero Trust security models and governance controls.
- Familiarity with federal environments and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53).
- Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud deployments.
