Mid-Level UI/UX Designer & Graphic Artist
Seeking a collaborative Mid-Level UI/UX Designer & Graphic Artist to support a mission-critical Federal Law Enforcement client. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise GIS and user-centric design, transforming complex spatial workflows into intuitive digital experiences while leading visual branding creation.
Location:
Remote (Highly prefer candidates in the NOVA/DC metro area for occasional briefings).
Culture:
Fast-paced, dynamic, and highly iterative. Requires an agile mindset that embraces constructive feedback to refine designs.
Key Responsibilities
UI/UX & Workflow Optimization
- UX Analysis:
Map law enforcement workflows to eliminate friction and streamline application interfaces. - Interface Design:
Build wireframes, user journeys, mockups, and prototypes for custom GIS tools and dashboards. - Dev
Collaboration:
Partner with GIS and front-end developers to ensure technical feasibility and seamless implementation.
Graphic Art & Branding
- Asset Creation:
Design custom iconography, vector graphics, logos, and mission patches. - Layout Design:
Format polished presentations, executive briefs, and technical user guides.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Design, GIS, or Fine Arts required;
Master's degree preferred. - Experience:
X-X years of professional UI/UX and graphic design experience (Federal/enterprise software preferred). - Clearance:
Ability to obtain/maintain a Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation. - Adobe CC Mastery:
Proficient in Illustrator & Photoshop (asset/icon design), InDesign (layouts/briefs), and Dreamweaver (web layouts/CSS). - GIS Familiarity:
Foundational understanding of Esri software applications (ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder, Dashboards, or custom Web App themes). - UX
Competencies:
Solid grasp of information architecture, responsive design, wire framing, and usability testing.
