Lead Certified CMMC Assessor

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Lead Assessor on CMMC Level 2 certification assessments.
• Lead scoping, pre‑assessment readiness reviews, and finalization of the assessment plan.
• Direct evidence collection and validation across all 110 NIST SP 800‑171 Rev 2 security requirements.
• Make and defend final determinations for each requirement.
• Assign and supervise the work of Certified CMMC Assessors (CCAs).
• Author and review the final assessment report.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with the OSC.
• Ensure all assessment activities comply with the Cyber AB Code of Professional Conduct.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Lead Certified CMMC Assessor (LCCA) certification in good standing.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 3 background investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, information systems, or a related field.
• Typically 7+ years of cybersecurity or information assurance experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of NIST SP 800‑171 Rev 2.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCP, or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, assessment report writing, and client‑facing communication skills.
• Remote‑eligible with availability to travel to client sites.
