We're hiring a SOC Mission Network Engineer to serve as the technical backbone of a 24x7 Security Operations Center, responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SOC infrastructure and cybersecurity platforms across enterprise, cloud, hybrid, and zero trust environments. This is an engineering and administration role — not an analyst position.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform day-to-day O&M for SOC infrastructure including system administration, patch management, configuration management, software upgrades, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting
  • Manage and maintain on‑prem infrastructure and virtualized technologies hosting SOC applications
  • Administer network monitoring and network security solutions within the SOC enclave
  • Maintain vulnerability scanning solutions, threat intelligence integrations, and other cybersecurity technologies supporting SOC operations
  • Support deployment of new capabilities, technology upgrades, and platform integrations
  • Coordinate with vendors, infrastructure teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders to resolve operational issues and implement enhancements
  • Support system authorization activities and compliance with NIST and federal cybersecurity requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of hands‑on experience in systems engineering, systems administration, cybersecurity engineering, or security operations support
  • Experience supporting networking and network security tools including Zabbix, Juniper, Cisco, and Gigamon or similar platforms
  • Hands‑on Red Hat Linux and VMware system administration experience
  • Demonstrated experience administering and maintaining Qualys VMDR or similar enterprise vulnerability management platforms
  • Strong understanding of patch management, configuration management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening
  • Experience troubleshooting complex system, application, and integration issues in enterprise environments
  • Active Secret clearance required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior SOC support experience in federal government, DoD, or Intelligence Community environments
  • Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, and infrastructure automation technologies
  • Experience supporting ATO/system authorization activities under NIST and FISMA frameworks
