IT Infrastructure Engineer

Orbis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in cloud-based IT deployment, maintenance, and operations. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient IT infrastructure across cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, automation, and infrastructure-as-code, with a proven track record of supporting enterprise-level cloud initiatives.

• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure, focusing on scalability, security, and automation.
• Implement and manage cloud resources, ensuring modularity, reusability, and ease of consumption by other teams.
• Implement and manage networking solutions.
• Configure and manage Virtual Machines (VMs).
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce access control policies for sensitive resources and align with organizational security and compliance requirements.
• Partner with Dev Ops teams to integrate Azure infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automation and efficient provisioning of resources.
• Assist in implementing Dev Ops or Git Hub Actions to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and monitoring.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and at least 6 years of relevant experience.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Expertise with various cloud platforms.
• Experience with configuration management tools.
• Proficient in scripting.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, and DHCP.

• Cloud certifications.
• Background in agile or Dev Ops environments.
• Understanding of compliance and security best practices.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings.
• Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region.
