Senior Associate, Product Management – Document Intelligence & Ontology Product Management

Capital One is seeking a Senior Associate, Product Manager to lead the development of its Document Hub. You will be the architect of the document strategy, guiding the evolution from a legacy document ecosystem to a modern graph-based foundation for AI-driven document intelligence.

• Architect the Future of Taxonomy:
  Lead the strategic design of the document taxonomy and ontology, and drive the migration to a graph-based architecture that creates durable, auditable chains of evidence.
• Build the Chat with Documents
  
  Experience:
  
  Collaborate with engineering and ML teams to deliver products that enable users to extract, summarize, and interact with complex documents.
• Bridge the Ecosystem:
  Partner with stakeholders in Sales, Operations, Underwriting, and Treasury Management to ensure the tools meet the unique needs of each line of business.
• Drive Product Delivery:
  Own the product roadmap for the document hub, prioritize the backlog, refine user stories, and deliver high‑impact incremental releases quarterly.
• Champion Data Strategy:
  Influence the bank’s broader graph strategy, defining how documents link to business entities, products, and events so that data is standardized, compliant, and discoverable.

• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or military experience; at least 1 year of product management experience or related experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering; 1+ years translating business strategy into consumer‑facing digital products; 1+ years building core product platforms; 1+ years working with cross‑functional teams as a product owner in an agile process.

• Passion for information architecture, ontology, and a graph mindset.
• Technical fluency with engineering and data science, and experience navigating complex product life cycles.
• Human‑centered design focus, removing friction and adding tangible value for users.
• Influence and leadership skills, building consensus among broad stakeholder groups.

Salary ranges (Full‑time, base) by location:

• Charlotte, NC: $101,100–$115,400
• McLean, VA: $111,200–$126,900
• Richmond, VA: $101,100–$115,400

This role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
