Overview We want you to be an integral part of an innovative, creative, and energetic group of team members supporting a government client. Steampunk is looking for a Digital Forensics Analyst to support one of our federal customers. The Digital Forensics Analyst will support a dynamic team that provides engineering services across a variety of platforms and technology. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who is interested in learning the latest technology and has a proven ability to learn quickly and apply training to solve real world engineering problems.
Contributions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Develop data warehouses, lakes, lake houses, data governance, and services
* Support data collection
* Implement data pipelines
* Perform extractions and examinations with tools such as Cellebrite, Axiom, Gray Key
* Address technical challenges of customization, integration, and functionality
* Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware and operating systems and applications software; manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment
* Manage systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability
* Resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems
* Integrate hardware and software components within the systems environment
* Evaluate new systems engineering technologies and their effect on the operating environment; manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements
* Interface with clients and solve user requests Qualifications
* Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
* Minimum of Five (5) years of experience managing IT systems at the senior level; OR
* Associate's Degree, with a preference of Bachelor's degree, or higher, in an IT-related field.
* Minimum of one technical certification (e.g., MCSE, MCSD, MCSA, Red Hat) or computer forensics certification (e.g., SCERS, BCERT, CART)
* Strong customer service skills, teaming skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team.
* Strong system and network troubleshooting ability.
* Computer forensics training experience.
* Ability to research and resolve problems efficiently and accurately.
* Documentation skills, including SOP creation, lifecycle documentation, and task management.
* Proactive approach to identifying issues, developing solutions, and providing data and metrics to management. Preferred:
* Ability to maintain workload in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
* Experience supporting systems in Agile and Dev Ops environments. About steampunk Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position. Annual salary is just one aspect of Steampunk's total compensation package for employees.
