Dev Ops Engineer

Vector Talent Resources is currently seeking a Dev Ops Engineer (SME) to provide mission critical system support to our customer. This role will work closely with Development as well as other technology stakeholders to maintain, develop and support IC enterprise products – legacy and new products – in an Agile SAFe environment. The Dev Ops Engineer will work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate systems.

This role will help automate and streamline operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports software deployments, cloud infrastructure baselines, and operational availability of production systems.
  • Managing, building, configuring, administering, operating, and maintaining all components that comprise the Dev Ops environment.
  • Defining enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices
  • Codifying Dev Ops best practices across the enterprise
  • Developing and maintaining scripts to automate tool deployment to an AWS cloud environment and other tasks.
  • Scripting and maintaining building environments.
  • Working with project teams to integrate their products into the Dev Ops environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience setting up one or more of the following tools:
    Git Hub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues with two or more of the following tools:
    Git Hub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a software development team and supporting developers and developer activities.
  • Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph.
  • Candidate must have MS with 15 or more years of prior relevant work experience or PhD with 13 or more years of prior relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in science, technical, or engineering discipline.
  • AWS Associate Certification (Developer, Solution Architect, or Sys Ops Administrator)
  • AWS Professional Certification (Dev Ops Engineer or Solutions Architect)
  • Demonstrated experience in container orchestration using Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/ECR
  • Demonstrated experience with Languages including Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, and Unix shell Scripting.
  • Demonstrated experience with Ansible, or Puppet.
