Our National Security Team supports the intelligence community, providing, operating, and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations. AT&T has an opening for an GNOC HQ Deputy Lead to manage the Global Network Operations Center which supports the customer’s 24x7 network operations and maintenance program.
- Serves as primary backup to the Global Network Operations Center (GNOC) Team Lead and assumes delegated leadership when the Team Lead is unavailable.
- Supports daily management of approximately 25 or more personnel across a 24x7x365 network operations mission.
- Provides shift-level direction to Tier I and Tier II staff for monitoring, incident response, escalation, and service restoration.
- Assists with scheduling, shift coverage, training, mentoring, coaching, and performance input.
- Tracks SLA attainment, ticket metrics, aging tickets, and workload distribution; elevates risks and recommendations to the Team Lead.
- Coordinates with engineering, cyber, provisioning, field support, and program leadership at the Team Lead’s direction.
- Supports customer status updates, escalation management, and operational reporting; represents the GNOC when delegated.
- Coordinates response to high-priority incidents, outages, service degradations, and maintenance windows; escalates decisions as appropriate.
- Supports root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and continuous service improvement.
- Reinforces compliance with customer requirements, security protocols, service management processes, and contract performance standards.

Required Qualifications:- Candidate must have a total of 10 years of applicable experience. The experience can be a combination of degree and work history.
- This can be a High School degree and 10 years of work history OR an Associate’s and 8 years, a Bachelors’ and 6 years, a Masters and 4 years or a PhD and 2 years of work history.
- Experience serving as a deputy, assistant, acting, shift, or operations lead in a government network operations, service desk, or mission operations environment.
- Experience supporting a large, distributed team and maintaining continuity of operations across shifts, schedules, and competing priorities.
- Experience supporting classified government customer environments and coordinating priorities across multiple technical and functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience improving ticket performance, SLA attainment, operational reporting, and escalation management.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and continuous service improvement.
- Experience supporting customer meetings, operational reviews, outage reviews, and leadership status reporting.
- Familiarity with LAN, WAN, transport, voice, video, collaboration, monitoring, service desk, and cyber operations support activities.
Qualifications:
- PMP certification ITIL certification Cisco network operations, service management, or related technical certifications
