Job Title: Enterprise Architecture Modeler
Location: McLean, VA (On-site)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through Zip Staff)
About the Opportunity:Zip Staff is seeking an Enterprise Architecture Modeler to support a large transformation program at a leading government consulting and professional services organization in McLean, VA. You will develop, document, and maintain structured architecture views that align Icertis CLM, Ivalua Cloud, and Costpoint with enterprise architecture standards. This is a hands‑on modeling role focused on Archi Mate, Sparx Enterprise Architect, and traceability across business, application, data, and technology layers.
What You’ll Do:- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture models using Archi Mate across business, application, data, and technology layers.
- Develop and maintain enterprise‑level Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) in Sparx Enterprise Architect
, including entities, attributes, relationships, cardinality, and data dependencies. - Maintain architecture artifacts and diagrams in Sparx EA
. - Support end‑to‑end architecture views for CLM, Source‑to‑Pay (S2P), and Finance domains.
- Collaborate with solution architects, system integrators, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture models and viewpoints.
- Document system interactions, integrations, and data flows across Icertis, Ivalua Cloud, and Costpoint.
- Support architecture governance and keep models aligned with enterprise standards.
- Assist in documenting integration patterns, system dependencies, and architecture decisions.
- Maintain traceability between business capabilities, processes, applications, and technology components.
- Produce architecture artifacts for program planning, design reviews, and stakeholder communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Business Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, systems modeling, or architecture documentation.
- 3+ years of hands‑on Archi Mate modeling experience (required).
- Experience maintaining architecture repositories and producing models in Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar tools (Visual Paradigm, Modelio, Archi).
- Experience developing multi‑layer architecture models spanning business, application, data, and technology domains.
- Ability to work on-site in McLean, VA
. - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Master’s degree in Enterprise Architecture, Systems Engineering, IT, or Business Administration.
- Experience modeling decision logic using DMN.
- Experience with UML for system or application modeling.
- Exposure to TOGAF or similar EA frameworks.
- Experience modeling across ERP, CLM, procurement, or finance platform ecosystems.
- Experience supporting enterprise transformations involving ERP, CLM, or financial systems (Icertis, Ivalua, Costpoint a plus).
