Senior Network Engineer

Genesis
10 is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in McLean, VA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role focuses on the daily operations, administration, and management of a large-scale global network environment that supports mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adopting new technologies and implementing solutions using automation, observability, and security principles.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, administer, and manage day to day network operations of a large scale global mixed media network environment
• Monitor the data network for performance degradation, connectivity issues, system events and alerts
• Update and manage tickets through resolution with vendors and internal support systems
• Create and implement data network changes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field
• At least 2 years of experience with software engineering, Dev Ops or related
• Ability to be comfortable adopting new technologies
• Comfort implementing solutions using automation, observability, and security principals
• Ability to contribute meaningfully to agile ceremonies, lead demos and presentations
• A security-first attitude

Pay range: $48.46 - $56.46 per hour
