Maintenance Technician
What this job involves:

As a Building Maintenance Technician at JLL, you will play a key role in ensuring our Class “A” Office Building operates at the highest standard. This role is designed for a service-oriented individual with a strong background in general mechanical maintenance and a passion for delivering exceptional client support.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Perform general interior maintenance tasks, including repairing office furniture systems, hanging pictures, and installing keyboard trays.
  • Maintain building lighting systems by systematically replacing bulbs and ballasts as needed.
  • Assist the broader operations team in the routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment and building systems.
  • Execute minor plumbing repairs and complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, and other general maintenance assignments.
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials safely and efficiently across the facility.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and due diligence walks, reporting any conditions that impact client occupancy and operational satisfaction.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to building emergencies, ensuring safety protocols are maintained.
  • Comply strictly with all safety procedures, maintain clean and organized work areas, recognize safety hazards, and propose active methods to eliminate them.
  • Maintain full compliance with state, county, or city ordinances, codes, and laws, including policies for the safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
Required qualifications:
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid state driver's license.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional working experience in general building repair, maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude to safely diagnose and address building issues.
  • Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and safely use ladders up to 28 feet.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Provision of your own basic hand tools required to perform the assigned scope of work.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Completion of an applicable technical training or vocational program.
  • Prior experience delivering customer service within a Class “A” commercial office environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage and document work performance and materials procurement as directed.
  • Active participation in technical, safety, and operational process training programs to support professional growth, as we embrace more innovative ways of working and prioritize opportunities to strengthen and advance your career.
